VIRTUAL SALON: ‘Board Performance & Evaluation’
June 12 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT
The best-run boards evaluate their own performance on an annual basis, with a goal of identifying strengths and challenge areas. A typical board performance assessment seeks to measure board members’ confidence in their collective performance around areas such as board alignment, governance, strategy, composition, culture, meeting structure and leadership. Some boards conduct individual or peer reviews, as well. All this comes on top of the board best practice of an annual CEO review. Done well, any of these evaluations can be invaluable in building an effective, engaged board and a strong relationship with management. Join us as we explore board assessments, ways to ensure they deliver on their promise and ideas for acting on the results.
